Message from Jim Vaughn, Chairman, Dems for Dave
 As a former Democrat candidate for the Eighth District congressional seat, I endorsed Dave Reichert after the primary in August of this year because we share a vision for this district and our country.
Dave is an independent thinker, and he is the kind of leader we need to send back to Congress. Dave is a representative who votes his conscience – not his political party, maintains a calm, steady approach under pressure and through uncertain times, and serves with a spirit of hope – wishing to leave our nation and our Earth even better for our children and grandchildren.

His opponent Darcy Burner has shown that her true loyalty is to the far left of the Democratic Party. This type of partisanship is the very problem we face in the current Congress – it's in a state of paralysis because of the idealogues who currently serve in Washington, D.C. Darcy Burner would just be more of the same. Aside from her raw partisanship, her proposals are simply frightening. We cannot afford her tax-raising policies. The security of this nation cannot be put at risk because of her flawed views, or her omission of critical facts in both her Iraq and Economic "plans".
As many of you may know, our veterans and our small business community are two groups very close to my heart. One of the primary reasons I chose to support Dave was because he works to promote policies and works hard in both taking care of veterans, their needs and their families, and he knows the concerns of small business owners. But more than that, Dave understands the needs of the entire district.
So I ask you to join me in support of Dave Reichert. Become a Democrat for Dave, united by a common goal: working together toward a bright future for our country.
